Delete your account
Here you can read how to delete your MUA Match account, what then happens to your data and what we keep. This applies to clients and makeup artists.
In the app
- Open the MUA Match app and sign in.
- Go to the Profile tab and tap the gear at the top right (Settings).
- Tap Delete Account and follow the steps. To confirm, we ask for your password or a code by email.
Is a booking still open or a payout on its way? Complete or cancel the booking first. You can then delete your account.
Without the app
No longer have the app? Send an email from your account's email address to info@muamatch.com with the subject "Delete account". Do not send a copy of your ID. We delete your account within one month and let you know by email.
What we delete at once
- Your profile: name, email address, phone number, username, bio, profile photo, salon address, password and your link with Apple or Google.
- Your photos: portfolio and banner, the photos you sent in chats and the photos on your own reviews.
- The chat messages you sent yourself, and your conversations with Glam AI.
- Your services, if you are a makeup artist: they can no longer be seen or booked.
- A running Premium subscription through Google Play or your payment card is cancelled at once; the running period is not refunded. A Premium subscription through Apple keeps running until you cancel it yourself in the App Store (Settings › your name › Subscriptions). Saved payment cards are detached.
What we keep, and for how long
- Reviews stay, without your name and photo.
- Bookings and payment data: seven years after the booking, because tax law requires it. After that we delete or anonymise them.
- Which terms you accepted and which privacy policy you were shown, and when: seven years after the deletion, as proof.
- Backups: deleted data may remain in our secured backups for at most 35 days.
What remains can no longer be traced to you as a person, except where the law obliges us to keep data. Everything about your data and your rights is in our privacy policy, article 5.
